Don Juan in Hell is part of the
third act of the play, "Man And Superman," by George Bernard Shaw,
and consists of a philosophical debate between Don Juan and the Devil, with
Dona Ana (Don Juan's recently deceased former paramour) and the Statue of Don
Gonzalo (Ana's father) observing and interjecting. A spirited debate regarding
heaven and hell, of good and evil, and of human purpose.
The reading at the Dali Museum
(underscored by guest musicians on stage) will include the talents of Todd
Olson (Artistic Director of American Stage Theatre), John Fleming (retired
Tampa Bay Times performing arts critic), David Warner (Editor of Creative
Loafing) and Roxanne Fay (celebrated Tampa Bay actor who won best actor in the
critic and popular category of Creative Loafing’s Best of the Bay this year)
under the direction of Bob Devin Jones (Artistic Director of the Studio @ 620).
