G. Holmes Braddock 25th anniversary exhibition

This school year marks the 25th anniversary of G. Holmes Braddock Senior High School.  To mark the anniversary of the school, students, faculty, staff and community members participated on curating an exhibition, in honor of the namesake of the school.

On May 20, 2015, G. Holmes Braddock Senior High School celebrated with an exhibition opening, honoring Mr. Braddock.  Dignitaries and friends of Mr. Braddock gathered as the gallery had a ceremonial ribbon cutting and tour of the gallery.  Following the exhibition guests were invited to view student artwork.

The process took several months to curate with the help of FIU Curatorial graduate student, Isis Ellis.  Students volunteered their time and efforts to put together the exhibition in a timely manner for our May opening.

Special thanks to:
Isis Ellis, graduate candidate, curatorial museum education program;

Multi-Colored Friday

On Wednesday, September 22, 2015, Robert Zuckerman returned to G. Holmes Braddock Senior High School to share his community service project idea that he has presented to Superintendent, Carvalho in regards to having a day of benevolence the day after Thanksgiving.  The community service project was named "Multi-Colored Friday".

Zuckerman wanted to spread the word to our students at Braddock and be a part of "Multi-colored Friday".  Each club is being asked to contribute their time, skills and knowledge to the community on Friday, November 27th.  Club officers shared ideas with Zuckerman on how they can volunteer and give back to the community.

Documentation of the community service projects will be recorded and PSAs will be made through bTV.

Halloween Coffee House Auditions

Auditions for the upcoming Halloween Coffee House are being held next Monday, September 28 after school in the auditorium. We're looking for Braddock's most talented - singers, dancers, small bands; anything that shows off what the students can do.
