Urban/Graffiti Muralist, NATE DEE, comes to visit Braddock Senior High School!


Recently published on the cover of Talking Off the Walls for the month of October, Nathan Delinois (Nate Dee) has numerous influences... this includes his Haitian background and the use of color in a lot of Haitian art, as well as in street art.

Nate Dee will be visiting our school on Tuesday, November 3, 2015 in room 1166 at 2:40PM.  He will be discussing his art in public spaces and personal works and experiences in the art community.

Braddock Marching Band


Congratulations to the Braddock Marching Band.  They placed 2nd in class 3-A, this past weekend, Saturday, October17th, at the 28th Annual J.I. Leonard Lancer Jamboree in Greenacres, Florida.

Twenty-one bands from all over South Florida came to Leonard High School to participate in the event and Braddock's Marching Band earned the following awards:
 
Superior in Music

Best in Woodwinds

Best in Percussion

Best in Visual

Braddock Marching Band attends 6th Annual Lightning Tournament of Bands

 
The marching band competed this Saturday, October 10th, at the 6th annual Lightning Tournament of bands in Lehigh Acres Florida. Braddock Marching Band placed 2nd in their class 3A.

They received the following awards:

Best in class for general effect.
Best in class for visual.
Best in class for color guard.
Out of 14 bands they earned 2nd place in their class.

Theater Arts presents: THE HOUSE OF BERNARDA ALBA


The HOUSE OF BERNARDA ALBA, will be presented on Tuesday, October 13, Wednesday October 14 and Thursday October 15 at 7:00 p.m. in the Little Theater (Rm. 4150). Tickets are $7.00 each and the seating is reserved and limited. All tickets will be sold during both lunches and before and after school in Room 4150.
We have assembled an extremely talented cast of our Academy students who will perform this very dramatic and exciting play.  Lorca is considered to be the premier Hispanic playwright of the twentieth century.
 
If students need more information come by Room 4150 and speak to Mr.Matter or Mr. Mezzano.

Artportunity, Getting Career Ready


The Division of Academics, Visual & Performing Arts, is informing all senior high school principals, assistant principals, and visual arts teacher about the FREE Artportunity one day workshop for 11th and 12th grade visual arts  students.
  • Students will be engaged in one day workshop to assist them in preparing their art school college application and career readiness.
  • Workshop Date:  Saturday, November 7, 2015 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
