Braddock Blue Regiment earns Superiors!



The Braddock Blue Regiment performed at the District 16 Marching Music Performance Assessment this past Saturday, October 26th, 2019. 



The event was hosted at Traz Powell Stadium in the Miami Dade College North Campus.

The band earned the following ratings:
Music (ensemble): SUPERIOR
Music (individual): SUPERIOR
Visual: SUPERIOR
General Effect: Excellent
Auxiliary (Color Guard): SUPERIOR

Overall rating SUPERIOR

Braddock Blue Regiment 2nd Place

The Braddock Blue Regiment marching band competed in Jupiter on Saturday, October 19, 2019.

Placed 2nd in Class AAA, and color guard placed 1st.

Braddock's scores were higher in all captions over all the bands in AA, and the total score beat the first place AAAA band.

Congratulations to the “Braddock Bulldog Symphony Orchestra” for attending the State Music Performance Evaluations on Tuesday April 16th. It was hosted at Howard W. Blake High School in Tampa. They qualified to attend and perform at this event by receiving Straight Superiors in District evaluations back in March of this year.



Braddock Bulldog Symphony Orchestra earned Straight Excellence  at this State event.

Drama Club Presents: OPEN MIC COFFEEHOUSE!!!

Tickets are $5.oo sold during both lunches and at the door.

We have a wide range of talent in our school, and many of these students have their first performance in our Coffeehouse. It is an amazing experience for everyone.

Kids For Kids Academy continued Community Service Murals Project

LAMP members participated in a continuous community service project at Kids for Kids Academy in Country Walk on Saturday, April 6.

Students have been painting the walls of the daycare center which started with one weekend in November and December 2018 and will finish by April 2019.

Congratulations Braddock Art Students for Top 10 Finalist Entry...Channel 10 Earth Day Art Contest

Congratulations to Mr. Hechavarria and his students for their submission as one of the top 10 pieces for this year's Earth Day Art Contest.

The school with the eARTh Day original work of art that receives the most votes will be the winner. The winning school will be announced on Local 10 News on Earth Day, April 22, and will receive $4,500 to use toward art supplies. 
The ten finalists will have their creations displayed at Miami Children’s Museum from April 15-22.

AVPA Visions Dancers perform at the Superintendent Dance Showcase

On Monday, March 4, 2019 our very Braddock AVPA Vision Dancers participated at the Superintendent's Dance Showcase at the South Miami-Dade Cultural Arts Center. 

Miami-Dade County dance educators submit works for adjudication by dance professionals for inclusion in this annual performance showcase of student talent. Works selected are representative of the various age levels of students and technical levels of dance genres. The site of the performance changes annually to allow students and audience to experience the variety of school-site performance venues available throughout the district.




Braddock Symphony Orchestra rates Superior at MPA

On Tuesday, March 5, 2019, Braddock Symphony Orchestra earned straight SUPERIORS at District 16 Music Performance Assessment evaluations from the Florida Orchestra Association Concert Festival, hosted by Coral Reef Senior High School.

Braddock Winter Guard outperforms again at Regionals!

The Braddock Winter Guard participated at the Flanagan winter guard preliminary exhibition on Friday, January 25th, 2019 and earned 2nd place on Saturday, January 26th at The Palm Beach Gardens high school winter guard regional competition. 

The Braddock Winter Guard, earned 2nd place out of 7 competitors in their division,  the winter guard group is 1 of only 3 groups in the entire Miami Dade area to compete in this competition.
