BRADDOCK DRAMA TAKES IT ALL THE WAY

CONGRATULATIONS to our BULLDOG DRAMA TEAM and Mr. Mezzano and Mr. Matter.

Braddock Theater Arts just finished their district wide competition this past week-end and Mom and I would like to report that our student actors and Thespians did a truly remarkable job.

In the 11 events we participated in with 22 entries, the students scored 15 Superior ratings and seven Excellent ratings.

In addition, Alberto Blanco won the Critics' Choice Award (best in district) for Solo Musical Performance and Amanda Pertierra won Critic's Choice (best in district) for Costume Design.

Categories of competition included Solo Music Performance, Duet Musical Performance, Large and Small Group Musical Performance, Monologue Performance, Duet Acting Performance, Ensemble Acting Performance, Costume Design, Student Directed Scene, and Pantomime. A wide variety of categories really enabled our students the opportunity to show their true talents.

THEATRE NIGHT 2015

It's time once again for our annual THEATRE NIGHT on Wednesday December 9th at 7 p.m. in the auditorium. This is an opportunity for our Thespians and Drama students to perform all of the musical and acting pieces they have been preparing and performing at the District 8 Individual Events Competition. It is also a chance for our students and faculty to see our Drama Department in action. There is a wide variety of music and theatrical pieces being presented and we hope you will encourage your students to attend. Tickets are being sold at both lunches and before and after school in Room 4150 and are only $5.00.

We most certainly appreciate your helping us promote our production.

Have a great week-end and thanks for your constant support of our program.
